Public relations specialists from around the world are rejoicing as Hollywood finally releases a motion picture that speaks directly to their plight. Box office sales have been lower than expected, largely because the film’s studio failed to issue a press release.
“We make up quotes for press releases all the time,” says John Q. Walrustitty, President and CEO of Microperfusion Films. “How we forgot to do it this time is beyond me.”

Baby Boomer Librarian: [Lockergnome] Subscribe to Our Comic Strip

[...] I have been reading and exchanging e-mails with Chris Pirillo ever since the first issue of Lockergnome. His latest venture is a hilarious daily comic. Below is the e-mail he sent out announcing it. New Lockergnome Web Comic - Subscribe Today Many of you know that I have a far-out sense of humor. I’m finally getting around to turning that into a technology-centric comic strip with my friend, Brad Fitzpatrick. I wouldn’t go as far as to say that it’s being published for all audiences, though. If you’re a sensitive person, I wouldn’t recommend reading this message any further. But if your sense of humor is off-the-wall like mine is, then we’ll get along swimmingly. We love to laugh - so now we’re preparing the world to bLaugh! We’ve launched the (un)Official comic of the blogosphere - colorful, satirical, and comical. Expect parodies of “A-List” bloggers all the way down to the meme of the day - no holds barred. Brad Fitzpatrick is bLaugh’s artist, and Chris Pirillo is the writer. Our strip is exclusively sponsored by a single company, GoDaddy. We have a bLaugh feed for you to suck down - and we’ll rotate the daily comic image in a static URL to encourage deep-linking from anywhere (widgets, anyone?). Of course, all you ego-maniacs should be watching closely - because you’re likely the ones to be parodied on a regular basis. If you blog, or your name (brand) is getting tossed around in the blogosphere, you’re on our radar. A New MySpace Generation Nobody can pinpoint exactly when it happened, but rumors have it that MySpace started to jump the shark not long after Dick Clark set up his own profile and started to add friends. From there, it spread to retirement communities across the United States at breakneck speed. “Applesauce” and “Depends on Depends” jumped to the top of the most popular groups in record time. Now, you can’t visit a single profile without being bombarded with the sounds of Perry Como or Liberace. MySpace officials could not be reached for comment, so it’s assumed that they’ve fallen and can’t get [it] up. Source: MySpace.com TechCrunch Expands Again Tired of reviewing new technology startups, Mike Arrington turns his attention to the sagging candybarsphere. He attributes this idea to the movement set forth by long time chocolateer, Tame O’Really, and his industry-changing Sweet 98.0 conference - marking the ultra-important 98th time in history that a chocolate bar has surged in popularity and economic viability. According to sources, Arrington believes Sweet 98.0 to be far more historically significant than the much ballyhooed Sweet 27.0. The site is slick, cartoons are hot on the net right now, and it seems like Chris Pirillo is a wizard at ideas and making them work. But! I do so dislike caricatures. They’re mean. I know they are an

[...] Holy Letterman-like link-love, Batman! Randy Morin lists me in his “top 10 sources for finding stuff to blog about when my brain has gone numb and can’t make up any crap myself”. I’m quite honored that Randy regards me as a high-quality crap provider. No, seriously. To find myself on any list that also contains the controversial father of blogging, the Rubel (with or without a cause), and all seven of the others on Randy’s list — kinda makes me dizzy. Plus, to get an endorsement like that from Randy — well, I just hope I can keep the illusion going for him. Randy is one of my favorite bloggers. I subscribe to four of his blogs (Besting Adwords, Destroy All Malware, IBLOGthere4iM, and The RSS Blog). Randy’s posts always pack punch. He gets right to the point, usually with a twist of humor. I like my humor twisted, and I get a lot of information quickly and easily from Randy. [...]

Lachen om de blogosfeer - Adfoblog. Het weblog van Adformatie

Losstaand is lang niet elke cartoon even sterk. Sinds kort is Pirillo met zijn ‘bijschriften’ gestopt – ze worden soms node gemist. [...]
