Kernel Panic

I defected from Windows about a year ago and haven’t turned back. It’s widely believed that Macs “don’t crash,” and though I do know better, I had been fortunate enough to have never experienced it myself — until this week. For the first time in a year, my Mac crashed. And crashed. After some investigating, we’ve narrowed the cause down to Flash (lol) in Chrome seriously pissing my system off.

I imagined what a kernel panic might look like, and today’s comic was born.

And for those not in the know:

A kernel panic is an action taken by an operating system upon detecting an internal fatal error from which it cannot safely recover. The term is largely specific to Unix and Unix-like systems; for Microsoft Windows operating systems the equivalent term is “Blue Screen of Death.”
