As for Cayden’s mother, she’s Christine Baumgartner, Kevin Costner’s second wife, whom he divorced in 2024. Prior to getting married, Costner and Baumgartner dated for four years.
Christine is a model and handbag designer, and she’s nearly 20 years younger than her ex-husband.

Why Did Cayden’s Parents Get a Divorce?
Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner got a divorce after being married for 20 years. The pair got married in 2004 and welcomed Cayden in 2007. In 2024, they decided to go their separate ways.
Weirdly enough, Costner had spoken so fondly of Christine in a People interview in 2022. He mentioned that she makes his wife warmer and his house prettier.
Despite that, Christine filed for divorce in 2023 for irreconcilable differences. After a few months, the divorce was finalized in 2024.
During the legal back-and-forth, Kevin and Christine requested joint custody of their children, implying that they intended to make their divorce smooth for the kids.
Kevin also had a prenup in place for spousal support, and it was rumored that Baumgartner received $1.5 million in divorce settlement. Meanwhile, Costner’s previous wife, Cindy Silva, got $80 million at the time of divorce.
The substantial difference between both settlements is mainly because Costner and Baumgartner had a prenuptial agreement in place, so she didn’t get a portion of Costner’s fortune like Silva did.

Some rumors also stated that Baumgartner found it hard to handle Costner’s work schedule and thought it was affecting their family life. She apparently wasn’t happy about his obsession with Horizon, which he was filming at the time.
